In Friday's league game, the Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS) football team were victorious over the visiting East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS), by a score of 56-35.
The Gators (7-1) will now prepare for their game against Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 5A Region 4 game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, Pearl River Central was knocked off by Vancleave (Vancleave, MS), 44-17, in a league game.
The Hornets now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host George County for a 5A Region 4 game on Friday, October 28. East Central will meet a Rebels team coming off a 56-7 league loss to Picayune (Picayune, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 1-7.
