The Gloucester Fishermen football team (Gloucester, MA), was beaten 37-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners (Peabody, MA)

The Tanners (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Salem, MA). The Witches come into the Northeastern - South challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Salem was beaten by Winthrop (Winthrop, MA), 27-21, in a league challenge.

The Fishermen now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northeast Metro RVT for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 29. Gloucester will meet a Knights team coming off a 42-14 league loss to Shawsheen Valley Tech (Billerica, MA). The Knights record now stands at 2-5.
