The Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) football overwhelmed the visiting Normangee Panthers (Normangee, TX), 34-0 in Friday's league challenge.
The Indians (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A-1 Region III District 12 challenge with a 8-0 record. In their last challenge, Corrigan-Camden trounced West Hardin (Saratoga, TX), 56-0, in a league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Centerville for a 2A-1 Region III District 12 challenge on Friday, October 28. Normangee will meet a Tigers team coming off a 55-7 league win over Leon (Jewett, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-2.
