In Friday's league game, the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) football team smashed the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), by a final score of 55-3.
The Huskies (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Poca (Poca, WV). The The Dots come into the Cardinal game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, Poca was trounced by Scott (Madison, WV), 49-28, in a league game.
The Miners now hold a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chapmanville Regional for a non-league game on Friday, October 28. Mingo Central will battle a Tigers team coming off a 49-7 league win over Logan (Logan, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.
