In Friday's league match, the host Jonesboro Hurricane football squad scored a good 45-28 victory over the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons.

In their next game, the Hurricane clash with the Conway Wampus Cats (Conway, AR) in a 7A Central match, on Friday, October 28. Jonesboro will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Wampus Cats enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 49-0 league win over Central (Little Rock, AR).
