The West Mecklenburg Hawks football team (Charlotte, NC), was knocked off 30-2 in Friday's league challenge with the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC)

The Mavericks (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars come into the 3A/4A West Conference 60 challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Chambers knocked off West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), 30-14, in a league challenge.

The Hawks now sport a 5-5 record.
