The Mendota Trojans football team (Mendota, IL), was beaten 39-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL)

The Bruins (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Forreston (Forreston, IL). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Forreston was beaten by Lena-Winslow (Lena, IL), 28-14, in a league challenge.
