The Monroe Redhawks walloped the visiting West Stanly Colts football team by a count of 61-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Monroe upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Redhawks travel to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a 2A/3A West Conference 44 outing on Friday, October 28. The Yellow Jackets go into the outing with a record of 9-0. Forest Hills won 28-6 in their recent non-league game against Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC)

The Colts now hold a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anson for a 2A/3A West Conference 44 game on Friday, October 28. West Stanly will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 28-21 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-6.
