The Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans volleyball team (Gilbert, AZ), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ)
The Lions (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, AZ). The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Arizona Lutheran Academy nudged Mohave Accelerated (Bullhead City, AZ), 2-0, in a league challenge.
