In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting West Side Eagles basketball team scored a big 85-58 triumph over the Kirby Trojans.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jasper (Jasper, AR). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Jasper smashed Alpena (Alpena, AR), 73-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans confront the Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 22. Kirby will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
