Rhode Island High School Volleyball - Cumberland can't get by Middletown

Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Middletown improves its record to 11-5 on the season. The Islanders travel to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI) to face the Huskies in a Division 2 test on Wednesday, October 23. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 13-5. Mt. Hope won 3-0 in their recent league test against Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI)

The Clippers now own a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary Academy-Bay View for a Division 2 test on Wednesday, October 23. Cumberland will face a Bengals squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Bengals record now stands at 4-12.
