The Byrd Yellow Jackets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Ruston Bearcats to 0 in the Yellow Jackets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellow Jackets now have a 27-5 record. They play next when they host Haughton for a Division I District 1 outing on Thursday, October 23. Byrd will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Parkway (Bossier City, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Ruston drops to 12-10 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Benton (Benton, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 23. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 19-8. Benton won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA)
