New Jersey High School Football - Lakewood sneaks past Point Pleasant Beach

The Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ) football nudged the visiting Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ), 22-21 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Piners face the Lawrence Cardinals (Lawrenceville, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 27. Lakewood will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Cardinals enter the bout with a 3-8 record after their 31-7 league loss to Steinert (Hamilton, NJ).

The Garnet Gulls (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against Holy Cross (Delran, NJ). The Lancers enter the non-league bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, Holy Cross was nudged by Florence Township Memorial (Florence, NJ), 48-8, in a league bout.
