With the win, Southside improves its record to 16-5 on the season. The Sharks host Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to face the Broncos in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 23. The Broncos go into the test with a record of 32-6. Sam Houston won 3-0 in their recent league test against Leesville (Leesville, LA)

The Buccaneers now own a 22-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sulphur for a Division I District 3 test on Wednesday, October 23. Barbe will face a Golden Tors squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA). The Golden Tors record now stands at 23-15.
