The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) and the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), witnessed West Johnston's flag football squad knock off Smithfield-Selma by a tally of 27-6.

The Wildcats (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans enter the bout with a 9-0 record. In their last bout, South Johnston beat Clayton (Clayton, NC), 14-0, in a non-league bout.

The Spartans now own a 0-7 record.
