The Ayden - Grifton Chargers soccer squad scored 9 points and held the host Pamlico County Hurricanes to 0 in the Chargers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Chargers now possess a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Eastern Plains 2A bout on Monday, October 28. Ayden - Grifton will play a Pam Pack squad coming off a 2-1 league win over SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Pam Pack record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Pamlico County moves to 0-12 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC) to play the Devil Pups in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, October 29. The Devil Pups go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Lejeune won 2-0 in their recent league bout against East Carteret (Beaufort, NC)
