In Wednesday's league challenge, the visiting Freeland Falcons volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Alma Panthers.

The Falcons (30-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Nouvel Catholic Central (Saginaw, MI). The Panthers come into the Tri-Valley - East challenge with a 10-18 record. In their last challenge, Nouvel Catholic Central was beaten by Glenn (Bay City, MI), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 26. Alma will attempt to upgrade on its 18-20 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 21-24 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Kent City (Kent City, MI).
