The Hickory Hawks edged the visiting Western Branch Bruins volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Thursday's league game.
Next up, the Hawks confront the First Colonial Patriots (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 28. Hickory will attempt to better on its 15-6 season record. The Patriots come into the outing with a 14-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Salem (Virginia Beach, VA).
With the loss, Western Branch drops to 15-4 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Menchville (Newport News, VA) to play the Monarchs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 28. The Monarchs come into the outing with a record of 17-3. Menchville won 3-1 in their recent league game against Phoebus (Hampton, VA)
