The Anson Tigers football squad scored 54 points and limited the visiting Olney Cubs to 14 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cisco for a 2A-1 Region I District 4 challenge on Friday, October 31. Anson will face a Loboes team coming off a 29-26 league win over Hawley (Hawley, TX). The Loboes record now stands at 7-1.

The Cubs (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Stamford (Stamford, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A-1 Region I District 4 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Stamford bounced Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX), 2-0, in a league challenge.
