    In Thursday's league match, the visiting Cinco Ranch Cougars football squad scored a close 23-16 victory over the Mayde Creek Rams.

    The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Morton Ranch (Katy, TX). The Mavericks enter the 6A Region III District 19 match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Morton Ranch was nudged by Mayde Creek (Houston, TX), 47-16, in a league match.

    Coming up next, the Rams confront the Seven Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) in a 6A Region III District 19 test, on Friday, October 31. Mayde Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 2-6 record after their 32-7 league loss to Tompkins (Katy, TX).
