Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX) boosters left the game content Thursday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Farmersville Farmers (Farmersville, TX), 43-37 in a league test.
The Panthers now hold a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bonham for a 4A-2 Region II District 5 test on Friday, October 31. Van Alstyne will face a Warriors team coming off a 51-0 league loss to Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 0-8.
The Farmers (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Krum (Krum, TX). The Bobcats go into the 4A-2 Region II District 5 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Krum nipped Gainesville (Gainesville, TX), 54-20, in a league challenge.
