Georgia High School Flag Football - Effingham County over Johnson

October 23, 2025: Savannah, GA 31404

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) and the host Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), witnessed Effingham County's flag football squad knock off Johnson by a tally of 37-19.

The Rebels (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Terrors enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Glynn Academy was toppled by Camden County (Kingsland, GA), 20-0, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Atomsmashers encounter the Savannah Bluejackets (Savannah, GA) in a D1 Area 2 bout, on Tuesday, October 28. Johnson will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Bluejackets go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 33-0 league loss to Savannah Arts Academy (Savannah, GA).
