Fans at Thursday's league contest between the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) and the host Mohave Accelerated Patriots (Bullhead City, AZ), observed St. John Paul II Catholic's volleyball team top Mohave Accelerated by a count of 3-0.
The Lions (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Prep West (Avondale, AZ). The HORNETS enter the 2A - West contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Highland Prep West was knocked off by North Valley Christian Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 3-0, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Wickenburg Wranglers (Wickenburg, AZ) in a 2A - West battle, on Monday, October 27. Mohave Accelerated will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Wranglers go into the battle with a 16-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Mountainside (Wittmann, AZ).
