In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Thornapple Kellogg Trojans volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the NorthPointe Christian Mustangs.

The Trojans (12-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Maroon Giants go into the non-league test with a 11-21 record. In their last test, Kalamazoo Central was edged by Plainwell (Plainwell, MI), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 10-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sparta for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 28. NorthPointe Christian will face a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Covenant Christian (Grand Rapids, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 18-10.
