The Sumner Academy Sabres volleyball squad (Kansas City, KS), dropped 3-1 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Turner Golden Bears (Kansas City, KS)

The Golden Bears (14-20) will now prepare for their contest against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 24-9 record. In their last contest, Pittsburg notched a victory over Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Sabres now own a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lansing for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 25. Sumner Academy will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS). The Lions record now stands at 27-9.
