The Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) football defeated the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 16-6 in Monday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Terriers face the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 27. Byrd will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 1-9 record after their 68-0 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA).
The Golden Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels enter the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Fleming lost by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 14-12, in a non-league bout.
