The Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) football trounced the visiting Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD), 67-6 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Pirates now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canistota for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 31. Avon will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 44-8 non-league win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD). The Hawks record now stands at 6-3.
With the defeat, Jones County drops to 2-7 on the campaign.
