Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 56-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Alexander Central improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 31. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 1-5.
The Spartans now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ashe County for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 31. South Caldwell will play a Huskies team coming off a 56-6 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 0-5.
