The Carson Cougars football squad scored 22 points and limited the host Central Cabarrus Vikings to 16 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Rowan for a non-league test on Thursday, October 31. Carson will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 27-14 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Central Cabarrus drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to meet the Trojans in a non-league test on Thursday, October 31. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 6-3. Northwest Cabarrus lost 32-26 in their recent non-league test against Robinson (Concord, NC)
