With the win, George Washington advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Eagles host Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA) to play the Phoenix in a battle on Thursday, October 31. The Phoenix go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Comets now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bassett for a non-league battle on Monday, October 28. Halifax County will play a Bengals team coming off a 33-21 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 4-3.
