Match Summary
Bolton/Warrensburg and Schoharie met today in the opening round of sectionals. Right from the start, Schoharie moved the ball with purpose, looking to set the tone early. Cameron Esposito, Devon Schrader, Max Kenny, and Lawerence Zuefle each provided many tense moments early in the match and, in fact, they each played stellar throughout the match. BW's Ben Holcomb finally found the net and put BW up 1-0 at the seven-minute mark. Schoharie's Hyatt was everywhere he was supposed to be, thwarting many of BW's services into the box. Will Hens beat one defender, deeked the goalie, and calmly put the ball away to put BW up 2-0 to start the second half. Schoharie applied strong pressure and got rewarded with a PK when a Schoharie player was taken down in the box. Cameron Esposito stepped up and finished to make the score 2-1. Both teams battled hard for the next 26 minutes until BW's Will Hens again found the twine when he buried a loose ball off a corner kick.
