The St. John's Mavericks (Houston, TX) volleyball held off the host St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans (Austin, TX), 3-2 in Friday's league contest.
The Mavericks (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Andrew's (Austin, TX). The Highlanders enter the contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, St. Andrew's was tipped by St. Stephen's Episcopal (Austin, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Spartans battle the Episcopal Knights (Bellaire, TX) in a contest, on Saturday, October 25. St. Stephen's Episcopal will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Aggieland HomeSchool (College Station, TX).
