Colorado High School Football - Akron sneaks past Sedgwick County

October 24, 2025: Akron, CO 80720

The Akron Rams football squad scored 26 points and limited the visiting Sedgwick County Cougars to 20 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Merino for a A-8 Plains (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 31. Akron will meet a Rams squad coming off a 52-6 league loss to Sedgwick County (Julesburg, CO). The Rams record now stands at 3-5.

With the defeat, Sedgwick County moves to 4-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Haxtun (Haxtun, CO) to face the Fightin' Bulldogs in a A-8 Plains (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 31. The Fightin' Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Haxtun won 30-6 in their recent league challenge against Dayspring Christian Academy (Greeley, CO)
