In Friday's league bout, the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) football team crushed the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a final score of 42-0.

With the win, Freedom advances its record to 8-1 on the season. The Patriots host McDowell (Marion, NC) to encounter the Titans in a Northwestern 6A/7A bout on Friday, October 31. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 5-4. McDowell lost 55-21 in their recent league contest against Watauga (Boone, NC)
