Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Cohen Green Hornets (New Orleans, LA), 49-28 in a non-league battle.
The Hawks (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA). The come into the 4A District 7 match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Lakeshore defeated Loranger (Loranger, LA), 38-14, in a league match.
Next, the Green Hornets meet the South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) in a 2A District 10 test, on Saturday, November 1. Cohen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Hurricanes come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 32-23 league win over Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA).
