The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders football squad scored 71 points and limited the visiting Sanderson Spartans to 13 in the Crusaders league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now hold a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cary for a Triangle Six 6A/7A challenge on Thursday, October 30. Cardinal Gibbons will face a Imps team coming off a 42-0 league loss to Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Imps record now stands at 7-1.

The Spartans (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Zion Christian Academy (Durham, NC). The Mighty Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Mount Zion Christian Academy was overwhelmed by Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA), 42-0, in a non-league test.
