Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA), 21-18 in a league battle.
With the triumph, Covenant Christian Academy upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Centerville (Centerville, LA) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A District 7 match on Friday, October 31. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 2-6. Centerville won 28-21 in their recent league battle against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA)
The Tigers now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Central Catholic for a 1A District 7 battle on Friday, October 31. Jeanerette will play a Eagles team coming off a 47-7 non-league loss to Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
