The Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) football knocked off the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 14-6 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Friday, October 31. Grayson County will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 61-27 league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).

The Spartans now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host George Wythe for a Mountain Empire bout on Friday, November 7. Giles will confront a Maroons squad coming off a 61-27 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 5-3.
