Virginia High School Football - Monticello can't hold off Goochland

October 24, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Goochland Bulldogs got by the host Monticello Mustangs football team by a score of 17-10 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson test, on Friday, October 31. Goochland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the test with a 5-3 record after their 50-26 league win over Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA).

With the defeat, Monticello drops to 2-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to face the Patriots in a Jefferson challenge on Friday, October 31. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Albemarle lost 60-27 in their recent league challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA)
