In Friday's league match, the host Princeton Tigers football squad scored a good 42-30 win over the Independence Patriots.

With the win, Princeton advances its record to 8-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hurricane (Hurricane, WV) to play the Redskins in a non-league battle on Friday, October 31. The Redskins go into the battle with a record of 2-6. Hurricane won 28-16 in their recent non-league battle against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV)

The Patriots now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Nicholas County for a Coalfield AA battle on Friday, October 31. Independence will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 38-12 non-league loss to Roane County (Spencer, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 2-6.
