The Rio Vista Eagles football team scored 2 points and held the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats to 0 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 7 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Rio Vista will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 28-14 league loss to Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX).
The Wampus Cats (0-8) will now prepare for their outing against Italy (Italy, TX). The Gladiators come into the 2A-1 Region II District 7 outing with a 1-7 record. In their last outing, Italy was nipped by Bosqueville (Waco, TX), 21-13, in a league outing.
