West Virginia High School Football - Nitro beat Winfield

October 24, 2025: Winfield, WV 25213

The Nitro Wildcats football squad scored 39 points and limited the host Winfield Generals to 28 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Capital for a non-league test on Friday, October 31. Nitro will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 30-7 league loss to George Washington (Charleston, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Winfield drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Riverside (Belle, WV) to meet the Warriors in a Mountain State test on Friday, October 31. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 2-6. Riverside won 31-14 in their recent league outing against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV)
