The Santa Maria Cougars (Santa Maria, TX) football were winner over the host Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX), 42-12 in Friday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Three Rivers for a 2A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, October 31. Santa Maria will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-12 league win over Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.

The Bobcats (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Refugio (Refugio, TX). The Bobcats enter the 2A-1 Region IV District 16 game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Refugio notched a victory over Freer (Freer, TX), 60-10, in a league game.
