In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cardinal Newman Cardinals volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Northwood Academy Chargers.
The Cardinals (41-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Hilton Head Christian Academy (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 22-13 record. In their last challenge, Hilton Head Christian Academy beat Ohio County (Hartford, KY), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Chargers meet the First Baptist School Hurricanes (Charleston, SC) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 24. Northwood Academy will attempt to advance on its 19-8 season record. The Hurricanes go into the test with a 9-17 record after their 3-0 league loss to Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC).
