Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Waltham Hawks (Waltham, MA), 8-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions confront the Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 28. Newton South will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 2-2 league Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA).
