The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) and the host Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA), saw Central's volleyball squad nip Steele Canyon by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 24-18 on the year. The Spartans travel to San Pasqual (Escondido, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 28. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 29-8. San Pasqual won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA)

The Cougars now own a 22-9 record.
