Colorado High School Football - Salida thwarted by Alamosa

Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Salida Spartans (Salida, CO), 26-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Alamosa improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Mean Moose host Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO) to play the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, November 1. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 5-3. Pagosa Springs won 42-21 in their recent league battle against Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO)

The Spartans now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Gunnison for a 2A Intermountain battle on Friday, November 1. Salida will play a Cowboys team coming off a 28-27 league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, CO). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-6.
