Boerne Greyhounds (Boerne, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX), 49-17 in a league battle.

With the win, Boerne improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to McCollum (San Antonio, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 5A-2 Region IV District 13 battle on Friday, November 1. The Cowboys go into the battle with a record of 2-6. McCollum lost 60-0 in their recent league battle against Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX)

The Patriots now have a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Harlandale for a 5A-2 Region IV District 13 battle on Friday, November 1. Veterans Memorial will play a Indians team coming off a 56-27 league loss to Victoria West (Victoria, TX). The Indians record now stands at 2-6.
