North Carolina High School Football - Purnell Swett defeats Douglas Byrd

October 25, 2024: Pembroke, NC 28372

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the visiting Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC), witnessed Purnell Swett's football squad topple Douglas Byrd by a tally of 28-12.

The Rams (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Pirates enter the 3A/4A United 8 contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Lumberton was outscored by Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC), 50-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Eagles confront the Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) in a 3A/4A United 8 contest, on Friday, November 1. Douglas Byrd will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 9-0 record after their 50-0 league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, NC).
