Texas High School Football - Edcouch-Elsa holds off Pace

October 25, 2024: Edcouch, TX 78538

The Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX) football tipped the visiting Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX), 28-26 in Friday's league outing.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, November 1. Edcouch-Elsa will clash with a Javelinas squad coming off a 40-13 league loss to Mercedes (Mercedes, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Pace drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lopez (Brownsville, TX) to clash with the Lobos in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 outing on Thursday, October 31. The Lobos come into the outing with a record of 6-2. Lopez won 31-10 in their recent league outing against Porter (Brownsville, TX)
